Future becomes just the second act to debut atop the Artist 100 chart in its 13-month history (excluding the ranking’s initial week). He does so as his album DS2 also opens at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and on Top Album Sales (with 126,000 sold). The only other act to start at No. 1 on the Artist 100 was Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers nearly a year ago on the chart date Aug. 16, 2014.
Album sales make up 76 percent of the Future’s total Artist 100 points, with track downloads contributing 15 percent of the total.
